7 th International Summer Music Masterclass: 2019 July 24th- 1st Aug
Each student receives 5 individual lessons and daily chamber music sessions in a highly driven but friendly atmosphere.
Students are required to prepare at least 2 solo pieces for the course, ideally including a movement from J.S. Bach works for the solo instruments. Individual lessons in the mornings, while ensembles and orchestra rehearse in the afternoon.
All lessons take place at the local Niedzwiedz Music School and are open to public.
The students will be preparing music of your own choice toward ISMM Final Concert. You are expected to learn extra repertoire for the chamber ensembles and the symphony orchestra during the course. Selection of these will be picked for the Final Concert in the Aula hall of Niedzwiedz Music School.
"Bach in da Woods" is ISMM trademark, whence active participants perform their solo Bach pieces up on the mountain in the middle of a forest.
For the 2nd year, ISMM is invited to return to the little town of Niedzwiedz in Poland. Niedzwiedz is a historical mountainous region, half way between Krakow and the border to Slovakia, near to the popular Zakopane mountain resorts. Rich of cultural history throughout Poland's past, Niedzwiedz is nowaday famous for its thermal springs and agri-tourism.
ISMM will base at the lodging camp of Koninki, only 10min away from the local Music School where the masterclasses are held.
